Webflow introduced Webflow for Slack on July 16, 2026, bringing AI-assisted website management into team conversations. The integration can create and publish CMS content, review site SEO, answer Webflow questions, and complete supported actions without requiring designers, editors, or marketers to leave Slack.
Webflow moves routine website work into Slack conversations
Website updates often begin outside the site builder. A team may notice an outdated product description, discuss a new article, or identify an SEO problem while working in a Slack channel. Webflow for Slack reduces the distance between that conversation and the action required inside the website.
Users can describe a task in natural language, allowing Webflow to interpret the request, select the appropriate tools, and work with the authorized site. The integration is powered by Webflow's MCP server, which connects agents with site data, content, and supported workflows while retaining existing permissions and governance controls.
CMS publishing and SEO tasks can begin inside Slack
Webflow for Slack can create, update, and publish CMS items directly from a conversation. This may help content teams act on a new post, product update, campaign detail, or collection change while the relevant information is still being discussed.
The integration can also audit page SEO, update metadata, and provide step-by-step answers about Webflow. In a collaborative thread, the @Webflow agent can read the surrounding conversation for context, make requested changes, and return a review link so teammates can examine the result before it is published.
Teams control which sites and permissions Slack can use
Connecting the integration starts with the /webflow connect command. The user then continues in a browser, signs in when required, confirms the connection, and selects the Webflow sites the Slack experience is allowed to access. Only sites already available to that user appear during authorization.
Slackbot permissions can be adjusted to control what it may read or write on approved sites. The Slackbot connection and the @Webflow agent connection must be authorized separately, allowing teams to enable the experience that matches their workflow instead of granting broader access automatically.
Slackbot and the Webflow agent have different release stages
Direct messages to Slackbot are generally available and free to use. Users can privately ask questions about authorized Webflow sites or request supported actions through natural language without opening a dedicated Webflow conversation.
The dedicated Webflow Slack Agent remains in public beta. It can be contacted privately through a direct message or mentioned as @Webflow in public channels and threads. The agent is free during the beta period, but Webflow plans to apply AI credits to these non-Slackbot workflows after general availability.

This integration moves part of website management into the place where design, marketing, and content decisions often begin. Small CMS corrections and metadata updates no longer need to become separate tasks that someone must remember to complete later.
We would still keep visual design and complex structural work inside Webflow, where layouts, interactions, responsive behavior, and the relationship between components can be inspected directly. A conversational interface is better suited to focused actions than changes that depend on detailed visual judgment.
For agencies and collaborative site teams, the strongest benefit may be traceability. A request, the agent's action, and the resulting review can remain connected inside one thread, provided permissions are kept narrow and publishing decisions still receive human approval.
